Stop fiber cord is a malleable, asbestos-free sealing cord from non-hardening materials of consistent quality and resistance. They are supplied ready for use. Stop fiber is used in molding (including the internal casting section of the mold), with Stop Fiber Cord the sealing strips that separate the empty spaces of molds and cores from all mold materials are sealed. It does not harden. Stop fiber cord dried by the high temperature of the metal and the moulds, disintegrates completely and leaves no harmful residue in the sand. The Stop fiber sealing cord is placed according to the size of the separation spaces. A break-through of the liquid metal, and thus leakage of the mould or the penetration of the metal in the core-venting is prevented.
