Elastograf gaskets are made by fusing together a corrugated metal core with a fine layer of flexible graphite without high density binders, which increase the sealing capacity compared with other traditional gaskets. The particular shape and composition lead to a greater elastic recovery and a reduced initial contact surface between the gasket and the flange, limiting the torque for assembly; this characteristic allows greater stability during heat cycles.

Applications

Used to solve emission problems, in the presence of emissions or limited initial tightening torques, flanges.
