The PTFE-Clear shield consist of two sidewalls manufactured from Teflon coated fibreglass, and a wide central band of clear Teflon (ETFE), which is inherently resistant to ultraviolet radiation. This permits visual inspection of the valve and any leaking fluid. The seams are Teflon coated too. Clear ETFE is suitable for use with concentrated acids and caustics, as well as oil. The easy to fit, lock tight, fastening system comprises a Velcro strip coupled with a 100% Teflon reusable pull cord. When tightened the fabric is drawn over the flange bolts toward the pipe wall thus eliminating a lateral spray out. The design enables leaks to be released without danger, avoiding pressure-build up within the shield. A Teflon drain junction is also available. The PTFE-Clear shield design allows easy installation and removal with no special tools. It can be re-used, even in the event of a leak, thus providing a long term solution.
