This type of metal gasket is made by machining solid metal. The standard materials used for making these gaskets include all types of forged metal. They create a seal by the simple brute force of the compressive load on the surface of the gasket. Initially the seal is created by the action of the wedge contact of the gasket, which facilitates the settling and assembly of the same in its housing. They are used where high mechanical resistance, good thermal conductivity and excellent resistance to corrosive agents are required.

Applications

Flange with special housing, oil industry (both in the production and refining of oil), steam conversion plants and in applications that require resistance to high temperatures and pressures.
