Wool felt benefits from the intrinsic qualities of wool, that is, the ability of wool fibers to compact with each other without the use of any chemical additives. This type of felt is environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Typically the felt has excellent ability to absorb sound, light and heat. The felt is:

• elastic and resistant to pressure and even prolonged compressions, maintaining initial characteristics
• hygroscopic because it absorbs moisture without dripping slowly, releasing the built-in water
• absorbent, in fact absorbs significant amounts of fluids
• heat-resistant, hardly flammable so that it carbonizes at 320°C without combustion
• resistant to abrasion and sudden shock due to its fibrous structure that tends not to fray

Felt seals and technical articles for industry,  felts sheets for the tanning industry, steel industry, automotive industry, felt disks for cleaning and smoothing marble and metal, footwear industry, fireworks, saddle linings, upholstery.
